Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
Line your muffin tin with the paper liners. Rip or cut tin foil into approximately 4x4 inch squares. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Ripping tinfoil is fun, but rolling it up into a ball is even more fun. My son loved this step.
Step 3
Insert a ball of foil into the side of each muffin cup, between the paper liner and the pan, to create a heart shape.
Step 4
Mash the bananas. This is almost as much fun as the tinfoil. Cream together butter and sugar, then blend in eggs. Add bananas, water, soda, salt, and baking powder to blend. Add flour.
Step 5
Fold in nuts and chocolate chips with a spatula.
Step 6
Pour batter into muffin cups.
Step 7
Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. I let the muffins cool in the pans for about 10 minutes to keep their shape.
Done!
Serve with love.
